평양주재 서방외교관 "반미구호 사라지고 있다"
(서울=연합뉴스) 최선영 기자 = 평양에 주재하는 서방국가 외교관이 북미정상회담 이후 북한에서 반미선전이 눈에 띄게 줄었다고 밝혔다고 미국의 소리(VOA) 방송이 14일 전했다.

평양에 주재하는 이 서방국가 외교관은 VOA에 보낸 이메일에서 "최근 북한 어디를 가든지 반미구호가 사라진 변화가 뚜렷하다"며 "북한 정권 수뇌부 선에서 결정한 공식적인 정책 전환임을 보여준다"고 지적했다.

이 외교관은 다만 "일반주민들을 대상으로 한 정기적인 반미사상교육도 사라졌는지 알고 있느냐"는 질문에 "북한 교육 내부실상에 대한 접근은 이뤄지지 않아 명확한 답을 줄 수는 없다"고 말했다.

그러면서 "경험상 이 같은 주제에 대한 질문에 (북한으로부터) 매우 일반적이거나 애매한 대답을 듣게 된다"고 덧붙였다.

최근 한국과 서방 언론 매체들은 북한 여행업체 관계자들의 증언이나 평양 방문 기사에서 북한이 대외적으로 반미선전을 자제하고 있다고 잇달아 보도하고 있다.
