Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom - Depths And Chasms Guide

["The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Depths is the game's underground region. Accessible via different Chasms, the locations presents new challenges, as well as opportunities for exploration. Here's our guide to help you with the Depths and Chasms in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.", "The Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Depths region can be entered via Chasms in the Surface region. These appear as large crevices on the ground, with red liquid known as Gloom that's spilling out. When you do see a Chasm, simply jump down and accelerate. However, make sure you glide as you're about to hit the bottom.", "Below, you can see an example of an area with three Chasms as they appear on the Surface map. As for the Depths map itself, you can see it by pressing down on the D-pad. Since the Depths world mirrors the Surface world, it's almost as large as its counterpart.", "The first thing you'll notice when you're in the Depths is the poor visibility due to sheer darkness. It's enough to give anyone a fright, and that persistent dread lurking around the corner. Thankfully, there are some ways to shed a light:", "One more factor you have to contend with in the Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Depths region is Gloom. While the red substance can be seen on the Surface region, it's quite plentiful in the Depths. Gloom takes effect if you're standing within the red liquid for a few seconds, or if a Gloom-afflicted enemy hits you with an attack. The debuff locks out one of your hearts, preventing that segment from being healed (technically reducing your maximum HP).", 'There are a few ways to cleanse Gloom:', 'There are many opportunities to explore and discover new things in the Depths. Here are some tidbits to consider:', 'This part is somewhat spoilery, but here goes:', "Lastly, if you're looking for more Lightroots to show more of the Depths map, you can rely on Shrines. True, while there are no Shrines in the Depths, the Lightroots correspond to Shrine locations, and vice versa. In fact, their names are also in reverse (i.e. Gatakis Shrine on the Surface is Sikatag Lightroot in the Depths). So, if you found one or the other, just remember that their counterpart will be in the same spot.", 'There are numerous mechanics and facets to learn in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. For more information, you can visit our guides hub.']

Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Shrine Locations Guide

["The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Shrines present numerous challenges. Some will test your mettle in combat, while others can stump your brain due to puzzle mechanics. Here's our guide to help you with the Shrine locations in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.", "The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Shrines are akin to what you've seen before if you've played Breath of the Wild. They dot the entire countryside, and you can tackle them as you go along. They also act as fast travel points, speeding up the exploration. Moreover, you'll find Shrines in the Sky region, too. We also recommend getting the Purah Pad Sensor, since this will track and ping you whenever a Shrine is nearby.", 'You need a javascript enabled browser to watch videos.', '\n Want us to remember this setting for all your devices?\n ', 'Sign up or Sign in now!\n ', "\n By clicking 'enter', you agree to GameSpot's\n Terms of Use and\n Privacy Policy", 'enter', 'Now Playing: The Legend Of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Starter Guide', 'Completing a Shrine challenge/task will net you a Blessing of Light. However, Shrine locations in the Surface region correspond to Lightroot locations in the Depths, and vice versa. In fact, if you open the world map and look at a Surface Shrine, say, "Mayachin," and then open the Depths map, you\'ll notice that the name is just reversed/mirrored: "Nihcayam Lightroot."', 'In short: any Shrine you find will have an equivalent Lightroot in the Depths below; any Lightroot you find in the Depths will have a Shrine above.', "For our Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Shrines guide, we've opted to divide the Surface World into north and south portions. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom - Where To Go First

["In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, much like its predecessor or something like Elden Ring, you're given a massive open world to explore with very few limitations. Part of the thrill of the game is exploring the wilderness and discovering new things. But while there is no linear path, it does subtly point you in the direction of the best place to start your adventure. Here's what to know if you're wondering where to go first in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom--and what to do once you get there.", "The first few hours of Tears of the Kingdom, you'll be in a tutorial area, Great Sky Island, earning four key powers: Ultrahand, Fuse, Ascend, and Recall. After you've completed those you'll dive into the open world area, and the training wheels come off. From here, you can go absolutely anywhere in the world that you'd like, which may feel a little overwhelming. If you want to begin your adventure on the right foot, you should start by heading northwest. An early line of dialogue suggests this as well, but it can be easy to miss.", 'You need a javascript enabled browser to watch videos.', '\n Want us to remember this setting for all your devices?\n ', 'Sign up or Sign in now!\n ', "\n By clicking 'enter', you agree to GameSpot's\n Terms of Use and\n Privacy Policy", 'enter', 'Now Playing: The Legend Of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Video Review', 'The four major dungeons in the game take place in the four major quadrants of the map, so going in any direction will take you toward a big piece of your story progression. However, by going northwest along the main road, you\'ll find one of the easiest-to-find stables, which will allow you to catch and ride horses, as well as start gaining "Pony Points" for rewards. Around this stable area, you can also locate an important ongoing story quest.', "The other reason to go northwest is that it's the path to the Wind Temple, which is the best dungeon to be your first. It offers a healthy challenge without being too reliant on having obtained powerful weapons, and you'll gain an ability that will be a big help in navigating from that point forward. Keep in mind, though, that to make it to the Wind Temple, you'll need cold-resistant gear. That equipment will be for sale in a town that's on your way to the dungeon, but you may need to farm materials to sell in order to raise money for it. You can tell if your gear is sufficient by the temperature gauge in your HUD, but the game will also alert you if your current equipment isn't protecting you. If you try to persist in a cold area without the proper equipment (or at least an elixir, which provides temporary protection), you'll continuously lose health.", "By heading northwest, you'll be on the optimal path--the one the game really intends you to take. But keep in mind, there are no true wrong answers here, so if you'd prefer to find your own way, you undoubtedly can. Just be sure to take our dozens of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom guides with you so that you can survive any encounter, complete any quest, and experiment with the game's many unique mechanics.", ' ']
